MATRIC NO: A120453
I agree that there is no more privacy online because of some reason.
The first and important reason is the lack of safety online. Any information that I set online can be steal. Any information that I set can be seen by website producers. For example all information that users set in Friendster can be seen by Friendster producers. The producers may be do the bad thing with users’ information without notice me like fraud. It may influence users’ real life safety too.
Secondly, there is lack of control of my online information. Some of my information can be spread out in short period. Many of the users do not know how to control the spread of information. For example, Friendster website will spread user birthday date when the date reach without notice users. Hence the users cannot prevent the notice of their birthday to another user.
Lastly, fake information also can be appearing online. Some users will use fake personality to do any online activity. They will think that it protect their real information. For example, users can create their fake information to open new Friendster account so that no information can be stealing. Hence this show that there is no influence for online activity without online privacy.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that there is no more online privacy because of lack of safety online, lack of information control and appearing of fake information online.

I agree that there is no more privacy online because of several reasons.
Firstly, there is insufficient cyber law to protect our online privacy. Although there are enormous cyber crimes taken place each day but still no strict action taken by the authorities. This causes those irresponsible users such as hackers to continue their wrong action. For example, hackers will create a fake webpage which ask for the user’s private information towards other internet users for their own benefits.
Besides that, there is a lack of control in information flow online. Lack of information flow control cause user’s personal information easy to be spread out to other internet users. For example, most of the users who participate in website blogging and other online activity do not know how to prevent the website they use from sending their birth date, age, and also other information to other internet users.
Lastly, lack of safety measures shows that the internet users are vulnerable to various threats. Being exposed to the threads of viruses, malware and cookies that use to spying our online activity, internet users will face problem in losing personal information include medical status, education background, and even information in Identity Certification. This information will be sold to Insurance Company, and other company for business purpose.
In conclusion, I emphasis that there is no more privacy online due to insufficient cyber law to protect our online privacy, lack of control in information flow online, and internet users are vulnerable to various threats.

Lastly, there are some virus and software that can use to spy our online activities. For example, spyware software. This software will spy any activities that online users doing. I totally agree that there is no more privacy online based on several reasons.
First of all is an Internet privacy risks such as cookies, ISPs and data logging. For example, data logging like which websites that we are visit are potentially loss of security. If a third party has sufficient access to the computer that we use, logically or not, our privacy may be compromised. This non-privacy situation shown when there are some companies had monitor all instant messages (IM) sent by employees.
Besides, the expose of identity theft as cheater of identity also be a reason of no more privacy online. This is because, when the criminal get our personal information, maybe the criminal will commit fraud and even crime such as stealing or murder. They only need just our social security number to steal our identity.
Last but not least is private information which is not a private anymore. As we know, people put so much personal information into their social networking such as MySpace from their actual birthday to their favorite food and so on. Everything online is there forever in one form or another. It’s mean that even we make a change like deleting our account profiles, it’s doesn’t mean we has delete that information forever. Maybe other person has manipulated our information already.

The first and most important reason is everything can be hack. The irresponsible user such as hacker can generate or use a kind of software or application that can steal my information without being notice by me. For example, hacker can create a fake webpage that ask for password. Then users will enter their password without noticing that the webpage is faked. Hence the hacker can get users private information by using the password.
Secondly, there are some virus and software that can use to spying my online activity. The examples are malware and spyware software. When visiting some websites, this software wills automatically being installed to our personal computer. So the third party that sends the software will spy on users online activities such as chatting on MSN messenger.
Besides that, not everything is private although I set my information to be private online such as Friendster website. On that website there is a function where users can set their profile to be private. However, not all of the information will be protected under private function. In this website, there is information that can be seen by other although it is a private profile such as name, location and users’ status.

Do you agree or disagree that there is no more privacy online
Nowadays, many people think they are no privacy when they are online. I disagree with this situation because we still have our choices to make it privacy.
The first reason why I disagree with this situation is because we can log out after we use our account. After that, we can clear our computer memory cache to avoid hackers or other user to detect our username and password. For example, after using portal like spin, we can log out and make sure that we clear all the memory cache in the computer.
Second reason is we can set up our websites as private. With a private website, we can save our private information from somebody that we don’t want him or her to know. For example, in Friendster we can make it private to avoid other people access our webpage except the peoples that we approves as friends.
By creating a different email for different purpose, we can have more privacy online. For instance, we use Yahoo Mail for business, Gmail for friends, Hotmail for personal used and others. By this way, our personal information is become protected. Information that we sent also can be protected from expose to wrong receiver.
In conclusion, we still have our privacy online if we take the precaution step like we protect our password, set the websites as private and using different emails for different purpose.

There are very limited law and legal protection against the online content. Lack of proper and strict enforcement of related law increases cyber crimes. Website providers use cookies to collect information about users. This is considered to be stealing information and against privacy. Besides that, people are not afraid to misuse the internet like posting sensitive comments online.
Besides that, there is a lack of control in information flow online. Anyone can access the internet and send messages massively to unknown users. Uploaded items can be viewed by all and cannot be deleted unless detected. For instance, personal video clips. Free flow of information influences spreading spam unlimitedly and the original sender cannot be detected.
Lack of safety measure shows that the internet users are vulnerable to various threats. Internet allows anyone to hack into other people's personal account to get details like pin number. This too leads to phishing where criminals create fake websites to get user's personal information.Information steallers may misuse the information, for example stealing money from bank accounts.
In conclusion, the status of online privacy is still a question mark due to the various problems existing. Proper security methods should be taken by users to protect their online privacy.
